Basic Trading Guide

There are a few methods on how to level your trading, one being “Junk crates” and another being “Wagon trading”, I personally would recommend junk crates to everyone, it takes more time but I believe it is an easier method as it is done passively until you have 60,000 of Junk crates, this number is only specified for Beginner to Master 2, meaning if you are Skilled 10 trying to get Master 2, it will be less crates.

Junk Crate Production

The Idea of junk crates is to have workers make thousands of crates using cheap materials, then selling them far away from where they were originally created in large batches with lots of XP buffs active. To begin doing junk crates, you want to purchase “Mineral Work Bench” and “Wood Work Bench” from Calpheon, Trent or Epheria. The reason you want to do either of these 3 cities is because experience / money value is determined by the distance from one city to another, so you would want to be crafting them from as far away as Arehaza (the city you will want to be trading your junk crates to) as possible.

When you are turning your crates in at Arehaza, it is highly recommended you get as many lifeskill XP buffs as possible, some buffs you may consider using are:

• Trader’s Clothes +1 - +3 (10 - 15% XP)
• Fresh Whale Meat Salad 15% (314k Silver, Hard to buy) or Whale Meat Salad 10% (158k Silver Hard to buy)
• Pets 1 -16%
• Sute Tea 8% (10k silver)
• Elixir of Flowing Time 10% - 15% (63k Silver)
• Value Pack 10% $15 / 9m Silver
• Perfume of Swiftness 20% (3.7m Silver)
• Villa Buff 5m + 3k (Villa’s last 6 days but the buff needs to be refreshed every 180 minutes
• Cash Shop Equipment Tailoring Coupon 10% $15 / 8m
• Gm’s Blessing 1-3 (10 - 15% XP)

Note:

When stacking buffs, keep in mind that Whale Meat and Sute Tea DO NOT stack Buying the Mineral workbench in Trent costs 3 Contribution Points. ( You can buy a Mineral and Wood work bench in either of those 3 towns, this is just an example, it’s the same process to buy these workbenches anywhere.)

To craft any of the Ore / Timber crates, it costs 10 Ore / Timber and 1 blackstone powder.

You need to hire workers to craft any of these crates, to hire a worker you need to purchase lodging the same way you purchased the Mineral Bench / Wood Work Bench. What I mean by junk crates are ore crates or timber crates, and the crates that sell for around 1,000 base silver.

Wagon Trading

Wagon Trading is actively trading, I personally do not recommend this method to anyone as it takes up quite a lot of your time, is not AFKable and is quite costly due to the fact you need Life Skill EXP buffs to make this as efficient as possible. The buffs you may use for this method are:

• Trader’s Clothes +1 - +3 (10 - 15% XP)
• Fresh Whale Meat Salad 15% (314k Silver, Hard to buy) or Whale Meat Salad 10% (158k Silver Hard to buy) (Very expensive, not required for this method)
• Pets 1 -16%
• Sute Tea 8% (10k silver)

• Perfume of Swiftness 20% (3.7m Silver)

• Cash Shop Equipment Tailoring Coupon 10% $15 / 8m You want to save up around 4M silver to make a Wagon. The materials needed are a Merchant Wagon Registration, Merchant Wagon Wheel and a Merchant Wagon Badge from the Marketplace.

Wagon trading is done between two Trade Managers (you can refer to the NPC finder, top right, to locate them). You need to buy their items, to find the closest trade manager to you.

Once you’ve found the Trade Manager, make sure your wagon is close beside you, talk to them and click “Trade”. You’ll need to buy as much Trade items from the Manager as your Wagon / Elephant can hold.

After you purchase the items, with your wagon, head out to he next town you plan on going to and sell the Trade items to the Trade Manager of the town you’ve just now arrived in, be sure to click “Sell all” and repeat the last step of purchasing new trade items from this Trade Manager and move onto the next town. Repeat this method.

When wagon trading, there’s a stacking debuff that occurs after you buy 4-5m worth of goods from trade vendors in a day. The first time the debuff is applied it reduces the amount of trade items for ALL trade managers to 75% of the usual stock . After you buy another 4-5m , it reduces it to 50% and so on. If you plan on doing A LOT of active trading in one day you can avoid this by only buying the cheap trade items from trade managers before swapping channels. The Trading EXP you will get from selling the items will be GREATLY REDUCED if the two Trade Managers are under 500m distance between them. So make sure they aren’t too close. Route

In order to obtain the maximum EXP and money possible from trading, you need to connect a path from the node of origin Epheria (Only an example) to where you will be selling your items (Arehaza). The cheapest path involves linking a few nodes located in the sea, so you will need a boat to perform this step. You need 29 Contribution Points to connect Epheria to Arehaza, using the following nodes as seen in the picture below:

Note: Keep in mind, Epheria is only an example, and you can use any of the three cities I listed earlier in the guide, to find a cheapest connection route, please refer to http://www.somethinglovely.net as there is a tool for this.

The following list will help you locate the nodes you may invest in to gather the ores / timber needed to produce junk crates:

Iron: Coastal Cave, Coastal Cliff, Southern Cienaga, Abandoned Iron Mine

Copper: Coastal Cave, Thermian Cliff, Imp Cave, Goblin Cave

Timber:

Ash: Goblin Cave, Balenos Forest, Wolf Hills, Ehwaz Hill

Palm: Areha Palm Forest, Titium Valley, Areha Palm Forest

Elder: Iris Canyon, Gorgo Rock Belt, Veteran’s Canyon

Master 2 Trade Quest

It is absolutely necessary you do this quest upon hitting Master 2 Trading or all of your efforts have gone to waste.

Requirements:

• 150~ Energy
• 1M Liquid Silver
• Any Mount (Camel, Horse, Elephant)

When you finally hit Master 2 trading, you have to do a series of quests in Valencia to unlock the ability to use the desert trade buff (50% increase in value of trade items sold in Valencia City).

Note:

When the quest is asking you to trade the gunpowder to Epheria, you can trade the gunpowder in at Sand Grain Bazaar to speed up the quest and run to epheria more quickly. Upon completion of the questline, you can now receive “Token of Desert Trade” buff at the node “Sharing”, South West of Valencia City. It costs 100 Energy, the buff lasts one hour and it’s something you absolutely want to use every time you sell crates.
